I am gonna go to college to be a registered nurse. I want to be a nurse, so I can help other people as a profession. Because i really enjoy making other people happy and i always thought it would be the coolest thing to do. I am gonna go to Shasta because they have an excellent nursing program and close to home. The nursing progam at Shasta will help me obtain my goal of becoming a nurse. Therefore i can still live with my parents and i dont have to rely on myself for everything. Plus shasta is affordable and i will have a bunch of friends going there too. And at his moment someone is going through the nursing progam up there and is gonna hle pme through it when i take it.
Plus i hope to start working at a long term health care facility while going to school. To help pay for all of my schooling.
After schooling, i hope to either stay in california or move to the east so that i can have fun while working and hopefully raise a family.

"Nice Bailout; now pay for it."
I think, that these banks got themselves in trouble by making poor investment, which makes it there job to bail themselves out. I dont believe that we as tax payers should have to bail them all out. But however the alternative isnt so wonderful either. I think that we should help some of the major banks but not every single last one that went into trouble. Therefore it isnt so much money and yet the economy wont go so far down. But i dont think it should be the sole responsiblity of tax payers. I think the government should lower there spending costs and also have the hedgers pay tax on there incomes. So that we can only help those particular banks and get us out of our major debt from this and the war. How coudl we even think about going into further debt when we are already borrowing money from china to help pay for the war. Therefore i am in the middle with this one because no matter what way you go its a lose-lose situation.

Binge Drinking
Binge drinking is the cause of many things in the United States. One of the major things that college students do because they drink is they are more sexually active. Which in turns increases the teenage pregnancy rate. Plus it increases the spread of diseases and can ruin someones reputation. That is why i believe that the drinking age should stay the same.
When a young adult finally turns eighteen, they recieve the responsibility of being independant and not having to go to school. And when they finally graduate, they become stressed and are getting ready to leave there parents house and pay there own bills. This in turn causes them to be highly tense. Most college students see that drinking is a way to lose connection with the real world and have fun. But in reality it makes them do things they shouldnt. They aren't ready to have the burden of drinking put on them.
When the prohibiton happened, everyone wanted to hide the drinking. And that is the main cause of underage drinking. People like to have the excitment of doing something they aren't supposed to do. So even if you lowered it then younger teenagers would start to binge drink. Plus if you truely think of it, maybe we should actually id them when they go to the store and buy alcohol, because most people don't and anyone can buy some alcohol. The ones who can't have there parents or older frineds buy it for them.
When people decided to drink they are putting themselves at risk for many things. One of these being sexually transmitted diseases. Drinking causes people to lose there since of morals and they feel on top of the world. Therefore, they decided to have sexual intercourse. Which is the cause of teenage pregnancy. Which leads to more adoption agencies. In turn, people justl ike to have a reason to lose connection with the real world.
That is why i believe that the drinking age should stay the same. If you lower them, then we will ahve younger people drinking and probably more people smoking pot or other dangerous things.

Energy
The United States has began working on alternate energy sources. However, none of the sources have been perfected or put to use. But i think that with ethanol and wind turbines, we are coming close to have at least one solid alternate energy source. But i think that he wind would be a better investment because we can't run out of wind like we can other resources such as corn for ethanol. One of the biggest things about finding a new energy, is making sure the resource wont run dry, and getting people to buy and use it. For example, ethanol would be an excellent discovery, but what happens when we exhaust the soil and can't produce large amounts of corn. That's why i think that ethanol could be used, but i think that wind turbines would be a better investment and better energy source to have people use in there houses, the office, and businesses. Where as, ethanol would be the best for cars and motor vehicles. Because you can easily convert it into a gasoline.
My family has changed our driving habits a little bit. This summer instead of having many vacations we only had about one and people decided to carpool. My dad and some friends decided that they are gonna carpool, so he thought i should too, but because i don't have a fifth period its hard to find another person that leaves that early too. Plus we have cut down just driving for the heck of it all.
We haven't really cut down on anything that has to do with the heating and cooling of our house.

LHC
I believe that the reason we have advanced so much in science is because we have taken risks. However, this could potentially end the world. But i don't really have enough facts to say weather or not it should be turned on. I do know however that if it was successful it could continue to help scientist understand how the world began, or at least how matter is made. But in the article i read, it said that they tested it to make sure there was no leaks. But what happens if someone came in and sabotaged it more than just putting beer bottles in the pipes. This could be a potentially way for people to terrorize the whole world.
Therefore, I can't really decide on weather or not to turn it on because the pros and cons are almost equal.

Sir Galehaut

Sir Galehaut was a companion of Lancelot. He was the son of Brunor. He was the king of Sorelois. He had several titles: Lord of the Distant Isles, Uncrowned King, Haut Prince. Galehaut had conquered Sorelois, and thirty other kingdoms. Galehaut refused to be crowned until he conquered Logres, the kingdom of King Arthur. When Galehaut invaded Logres Lancelot had just conquered Dolorous. When they were in battle, Lancelot wanted to become friends with Galehaut because of the way he fought. Galehaut and Lancelot became friends during the third battle against Arthur. Lancelot agreed to become friends with Galehaut if he surrendered to Arthur at the moment of victory in the battle. He didnt just surrender he became friends with Arthur, Guinevere, and Gawain. Galehaut helped Arthur in the war against the Saxons where he, Lancelot, and Hector became the Knights of the Round Table.
When Galehaut returned to his kingdom, he learned that his friendship with Lancelot would casue his own death, which upset Lancelot. They stayed in the kingdom until Guinevere was imprisoned. So Galehaut offered his kingdom so the Guinevere could reconcile with Arthur at a later date.
When Galehaut believed that Lancelot was dying, he fell ill and died ten days later. Lancelot would later rebury Galehaut in teh tomb at Joyeuse Guard.

Three Heros
During my life i have encounter many people, but out of those people only a few have made a difference in my life. These people seem like normal people and live normal lives. But they have changed me and the way i look at different things. My hero's are my sister, Kim, and my Dad. A hero is defined in the way the lead there lives and how they help others while being themselves. In the following paragraphs are the reasons why they are my hero.
My sister, Lisa, is my hero because she was always looking out for me and making sure i accomplished my goals. She also taught me how to be my own person even through peer pressure. Lisa has always been my go to girl when i didn't know something or i needed help. She told me that no matter what i will be something great. When she went to the navy she apologized to me for not being able to be here now because we had a bond that most sisters don't have. It was almost like we were best friends that always had a sleepover. She is becoming the person that I expected her to be.
My dad is my hero because he always provided for our family no matter what he had to do at work. He works all day long at the mill, then comes home and is a great father to his daughter. He also go and helps out his friends that need him to lift or just need some where to stay. My dad taught me how to fish, hunt, and be a tom boy. He has always been there for me to cry on his shoulder or just vent about all the high school drama. I admire that he puts me before his work.
Kim is my hero because she has been the only person who is consistent throughout my life. She started raising me when she was twenty years old, and i was five. She taught me how to clean, be a mom, and how to be a professional. Even though she decided to leave my dad, she has never stopped being there for me. She is always there when i need advice or i just want to hang out with her. I admire the way she juggles her life, with bills and keeping the house in order and having free time to have fun after work.
Even though to you these are just ordinary people, to me they have impacted how i act and the person i have become today. Plus they have all stood behind me with every decision i have made. That is what makes a true hero.

What does Beowulf learn from his battles with Grendel and Grendel's mother?

When Beowulf is in the battle with Grendel and his mom, he learns how to be tactful and resourceful. He learns that battles don't always go as planned and that sometimes improvising might be necessary. An example of this is when the sword he took underwater wouldn't kill Grendel's mother, so he had to use the resources he had under water. In the end he ended up using the only sword that would kill Grendel's mother, that he found while he was in battle with her.
I also think he learned that to be a great king he needs to make sacrifices that have the best interest of his people. Whether it was a military or personal sacrifice. In this case it was to sacrifice himself and some of the geats to serve in another city to hopefully help out his fellow men, even though it didn't directly effect him.
